Fueling up now. Just got off the phone with an exhaust shop. Said they could take off the mufflers today.

I'll be there in a bit and let you know what they say.

its funny that I did mine last week, but my mid mufflers look totally different. They are bigger than those and in an Oval shape, not circular. But I love the delete :)

Here is looking from the front of the exhaust to the rear. Can see the butterfly open, and the hole in it to allow flow.

Sounds like it has more power!

Mine got raspy. I'll know more after a few miles. Just got down from the lift.
    Startup is much more untamed.

Imagine you hear a pissed off jaguar, growling and roaring in the next room over.

Taking off the mid mufflers is similar to opening the door and looking in, as far as sound goes.

That's what gives the car a quiet exhaust while cruising and warm idle iirc

Did you have pipe clamped or welded to replace muffler?

SO,....will doing this be considered not "emissions compliant"? I assume it would be a violation of emissions. (For the record, I am not a tree hugger. lol :D)
We have strict emission laws here in MA. Kind of sucks actually.

It may not pass because the exhaust has been tampered with---depends on the inspector.

    If I remember correctly

I get my straight piped diesels passed. This one shouldn't be an issue.

Yes it will pass inspection. You don't have to have a muffler just cats.
