I know, it's obvious, BUT, on your first oil change at a dealer/vendor remind the service personnel that the Hellcat has (2) drain lines..per manual

"Your 6.2L Supercharged engine (if equipped) has a
unique engine oil system. The system contains a drain in

he engine oil pan and the engine oil cooler. It is necessary
for the service technician to drain both the engine oil
pan and the engine oil cooler to properly perform the
engine oil change procedure. Failure to drain the engine

oil cooler will result in overfilling your vehicle’s engine
    oil system."

Why? Along time ago in my teens I was working at a gas station with an older individual who decided to take an oil change in on a Saturday night. After a while he calls me over and says "I think I have a problem, while filling the crankcase. It took too much oil for a small engine" . Well, he over filled the crankcase. Guess what the car was? Porsche 911
I told him that YOU better call the gas station owner, and I don't want the owner to think I was involved with this issue. (By the way, the owner was my Brother-in Laws Brother)

Moral : Trust no one with your new " baby"

I've heard stories about guys screwing up oil changes in the good old days, the story goes like this. The rookie would drain the transmission oil fluid instead of draining the motor oil. They would finish up the oil change and take off down the road with 8 or 9 quarts of oil in the motor and no tranny fluid. I don't know if that is fact or fiction.....

Lol funny you mentioned that, I took my V6 Challenger in for an oil change at he Gillman dealership and they took 3 guys to figure out how to reset the oil change alert.

I had that happen and I made them tell me how to do it cause I figured someone would screw up again. Funny, I had the V6 Pentastar Charger for a month. It was a good engine, but I felt like I was doing a disservice to Dodge because I just couldn't cause any trouble in that thing! I am taking all the advice I get on this site and making sure those service guys don't get a second alone with my baby! Keep the good info and tips coming!:)

Yay Tammie is finally awake. Yeah this challenger V6 is my fiancé's ride so I got a HEMI V8 charger too but then I felt the need for speed so I got the super bee upgrade haha. I'm not letting the dealership do my oil change when I get the hellcat, I started relying on my local mechanic shop for my high end muscle car work.

FYI. My darn Internet was not working and I had to reset the modem. So you know your fiancé is gonna drive the Hellcat and leave you the V6? Once you get a taste of the HEMI, it's all over. Add a supercharger to that and you may not see more than tail lights!;)

Your Internet better stay on lol well the V6 is getting traded in for the hellcat challenger. I am debating keeping my super bee as a collection or trading it in for the super car speeds hellcat charger early next year. No more wasting money for sipercharger add ons lol

Excellent info!!! I won't be surprised when this happens and expect someone to join the forums to say this happened to them and they wished they would have found this site before it happened.

As HellcatdotClub just said, thanks for sharing this invaluable info.
