Today I finally turned up the radio in my kitty. While sound quality wasn't an issue for me the sheer volume tgat the radio can achieve is nowhere near loud enough. Radios in my Escalade, Porsche, GTR, F150, all are much louder. I love loud music and feel this may be my first real upgrade to the car. It's s bummer that for 65k they didn't put a better system in it.

    Rank over.

Did you get the Uconnect update? Someone said it made it louder.

You're the 2nd or 3rd person I've heard mention that. Not too thrilled about that. I have HK in my current car and love it. Was hoping for it to be equal or better, sound like that's not the case. If the same is true for the Charger, I'll be upgrading that pretty quick.

Some peoples hearing has decreased much more than others. Perhaps peeps need to start posting their audiogram results to compare apples to apples based on individual hearing characteristics. ;)

I'm not comparing my cat to anyone else's. I'm comparing it to the stock sound system in the vehicles listed in my original post. I can not mmax out the radio in any of those cars without it getting painful. In my cat, max is still not loud enough.

And yea it may not be necessary to have a really loud radio but 707 hp is necessary either. But it's damn nice to have at your disposal when you want it.

NoW to figure out how to make the stock electronics package louder without losing the OEM function.

Jim, the only reason I was not listening to the engine is it was 3mph bumper to bumper traffic for an hour.

I really wish the HK was optional instead of standard equipment. Valued at $1995 on the Charger, it really isn't worth it.

Needs about 20% more volume. I max mine at 38 all the time. The volume does seem to be louder on my USB then the satellite or pandora.
