So this came from our helpful guy ResumeSpeed

"Charger so far is less than 20% of Hellcat builds. There may end up being only 1,000 or so Chargers built for the model year vs 6,000 or more Challengers"

    RS

With that it has me thinking that the Charger is going to hold it's value better than the Challengers. What are your thoughts? And no I'm not thinking of this car as an investment, it's just nice to know that it could hold it's value a little better than most cars I have purchased. That and if you have a 2015 Charger HC you have a pretty rare car.

    Sorry I don't want a four door.
If they would have made a two door I would have bought one hands down

No need to be sorry. Since I have had the Magnum and Durango I can't go back to a 2 door. The Ram is the only 2 door I still have. That and it's the only way I sold it to the wife ; )

I bought the Magnum RT instead of the
    RT Charger
    because of the four door.
To much road noise in the Charger.

I have heard they are very quiet. Can you still hear the SC whine?

I think if you look far enough down the road the difference in value will be minimal.

Look at values on any classic 4 door, not great when you compare them to their two door siblings. I think the Charger HC will buck that trend somewhat but I don't see them outshining the Challenger years down the road. Just my .02 cents.

You can find the Charger at MSRP without much effort now so no real need to make a whole lot more. See Milton Ruben Dodge etc ...

they are selling 1 to 6 because there isnt as much demand for it...===== its not as popular.....why would it be worth more then? if less people want it now?....suddenly everyones going to want a 4 door in the future vs a 2 door?

it will be rarer of course...........a GMC Syclone/Typhoon is rare....yet what is their value? not much.....

a 4 door Dodge shelby from the 1990's is rare ........whats their value?

Says the guy with the Challenger ; ) I'm just basing it off of the numbers built. I mean a 6 to 1 is pretty high.

I only bought a Chally because the Chargers weren't out yet. If they had each on the lot back in December I might have gone the other way. It would have made my wife happier, that's for sure.:D

Agreed but how much longer has the Chally been built? I'm guessing that if they started the Charger build the same time and if the massive screw up with the ordering and then the shortage of A8's didn't come about how many more Chargers would have been built? Resume speed told me that the Chargers are "extremely cut back on production due to the shortage of the A8." So if you know you don't have a chance of getting one why order it? I'm lucky but I'm still not sure I will ever see one and we are going on 5 months since order.

And as far as them going for MSRP I have been calling dealers every week that have a Charger HC on the lot and I have been told 20+K over MSRP every single time. I have even offered 5K over and I have been told "sorry your not even close."
