    In regards to vendors:
Where is line drawn as to "calling out" of certain venders who have taken money due to what appears to be blantent lies?!
Lies that can be inarguable verified in writing on this forum. Lies from what the product can/will do to lies/ misrepresentation of certain State regulations to be met?
If the subject is not to be brought up. I understand. This is your bid'niz as well. Just trying to get a feel for what can and can't be brought up.

I hope we sort this out. I like it here but I've no problem moving on.

B5 brought this subject up the other day regarding vendors being accountable. I do believe April stated responded that they are accountable.

I think it is a *little* early to talk about moving on. While it most certainly looks like a bag full, there is hardly ample proof to string em up just yet.. Lets get a larger pool of data before we lose such a bright mind. ;)

"Lie" is pretty hard to prove. If called to task I'm sure they will produce supporting data for their claims, even though others couldn't replicate them. There are so many variables that I'm sure the stars aligned and they got their 37hp. How, I have no clue. It's already been proven that at the very least, the claim is definitely not typical. All vendors do this. K&N is famous for it.

Best of luck. A few years back, on another Dodge forum we had a paying sponsor who offered a product that actually grenaded several member's motors.

Yes, their motors literally blew up.

And they got shafted by the vendor, completely.

I began a petition to revoke their membership and rights to sell/advertise on the forum because of the undeniable proof that had been presented over many months. A HUGE percentage of the membership chimed in and petitioned along with me. Unfortunately for the site Admins, it's not that easy. It is a business, and the vendor had paid good money to become a site sponsor. They had to wait until the contract had ended.

I have no idea if the same situation applies here, but it would seem logical. This would put the site Admin in a tough position.

Agreed that "LIE" is a very big word. All the maufacturer has to say, if they don't already, is "individual results may vary", and cite their complete test procedures and methods, to include modifications and fuel used. Caveat Emptor.

Afe return was smooth and easy shipping no drama just send it back why can't other vendors learn how to support customers like afe did

I'm in a similar pickle. I have received AFe's invoice to pay the balance of the group buy; however, I am hesitant based on what I've read on the performance of this product when tested on dyno's by forum members. The results are disappointing, and I place some trust into forum members that have no financial interest or gain. Unless the work for a competitor. I'm fairly certain though that Dubya does not work for a competitor. He contracted through a contractor that works with the military.

Did I miss something like the mods silencing people that spoke against afe? From what I've seen we've had an open forum to discuss products... Just wondering if I missed something

I don't think their vendor status should be questioned as long as they modify their claims to no longer be misleading (assuming the dyno of a few more hellcats further supports misleading claims). Go with a statement of something like "10 out of 12 stock hellcats gained an average of XX rwhp in independent tests" and leave it at that. Or say "Our test vehicle gained 37 rwhp*" "*Your results may vary" and then include all relevant information regarding the testing of the one vehicle used to make the claims.

I think AFE makes some good products... They just need to be a little more open and disclose the details a little better.
