Internet explorer blows...
Try another browser!
HC Org is heavily bombarding with the adds though!
I believe they are having "issues"
Or spammers are hacking away at server?
I rarely have issues, perhaps once or twice when the Admin are updating the site. I do not use Internet Explorer, I use Mozilla Firefox. I have not used IE in several years, literally. Tried Mozilla, loved it, never looked back.
IE bad...Chrome good
No problem here
If you are a supporting member I believe you will see far fewer ads. They will only be on the right side of the screen and not in any of the postings.
And try Chrome or Firefox browsers.
As others have said, you can try a different browser but your machine may be getting long in the tooth too. While I agree web surfing is generally not computationally intensive, you are right in that ads have become more and more intrusive over time. The other option is to add an ad blocker. While its a bit more extreme, you will see a big improvement in responsiveness if ads are indeed what is causing your slowdown.
I get the ad thing on the right hand side of the page with a video at the top.
What I do have trouble with in the morning is the page has to keep reloading itself.
It is not my laptop so something else is going on
No problems here!
yea I'm having issue typng too.....see (that see took about 5 "e"s before it registered. I'm at work so my ionly option is Intnettt Explorer
Happens in I.O.S. safari too,not alway's though,this time it's o.k.
Price we pay to have access to the forum I suppose?
You might have a virus or some other problem with your computer or ISP.
Try rebooting your computer and router. See if that helps.
Hey, cereal killer or WERA689 ... might wanna take a look at this. Thanks!
I too am having problems on this site. I now get sound with the ads, and have to try and stop it so it does not disturb
others in the house.
Hesitation scrolling -- I think is caused by the ads.
If there was a way to prioritize the loading of the page, make the ads load last.
Seems we have to wait for the ads first before you can scroll to read the posts.
I always have to wait for the pinterest, Google, Twitter, facebook, etc buttons size up before I can scroll down.
