I made a stop on my drive home today, just to grab a couple of qts of 0-40 oil to keep in the car/garage.
I stopped the engine, popped the hood to double check the weight, closed the hood, locked the door.
After my purchase, I put oil in the trunk, closed it, opened the door, restarted the engine via dash button. The engine started normally, but uconnect prompted me to insert SD card. I checked it and it was ok, then music came on.
I notice CEL a few minutes later. I scrolled to diagnostics and the one code came up; P062A.
I drove the remaining 5 miles home. Then I checked the gas cap, restarted and rechecked the code. CEL stayed on. Code cleared itself after 3-4 restarts. CEL remains. Any thoughts?

This error happens when the fuel pump is unable to maintain the desired fuel pressure.

(I.e the difference between actual fuel pressure and the ECM's desired pressure is greater than a threshold for a calibrated amount of time).

Damn code reappeared yesterday evening. Did a remote start with FOB. Stopped to talk, and 3-4 minutes later as I get to car it is not running. Sat down and restarted via pushbutton and threw the code. Last time dealer scanned car & code, performed software update, and cleared the code. That was about 3 weeks ago.

Time to take this back to the dealer. Worst case, fuel pump replacement.

Any news on your code issue? Did the dealer just clear the code or take some other action?

The root cause is a defective gas pressure sensor npr -203.

I know the company that manufactures the sensors. They had manufacturing problems in the past.

Some hellcats will ilustrate the problem.

The corrective actions are in place at the production line

    I can't give more details.

i'm sorry I didn't get back in here. I took mine to the dealer with this code showing. but by time I got to the appointment, the check engine light had gone off. the code was there so they had record of it coming on, but since the light was off, they only reset my code warning and I went on my merry way. I have not seen the code since but I also do not know what caused it to come on.

Mine threw the same code again. CEL still on. Will go off likely before I get to the dealer. Either 3rd or 4th time now. Occasionally shuts itself off after remote starts too. Wonder if its related?

did anyone actually get this issue repaired? I seem to remember this code popping up in another thread (which I can't seem to find).

I just posted a new thread on this. My CEL came on for same code. I have an OBDII Bluetooth device hooked up all the time. The CEL went away but at the time it was reading about 40PSI vs the regular 55PSI at idle. Its been fine, but will have them change the sensor when I take it to the shop next week.

And Mondays appointment was a disappointment. CEL was off, but P062A code still stored. Said they checked fuel pressure and is was within specs. Said bring it back when the CEL comes back. I explained their process doesn't work well. CEL comes on, call for appointment, get one several days out, CEL goes off. Hard to bring in with CEL on. Dealer rep says call and ask for ME - I'll get you right in. So my CEL lights up as I'm driving home. I'm 25 of the 30 miles to home, CEL comes on. I get off interstate, turn around toward dealer while calling the dealer rep. She said bring it in Wednesday. So I have to drive 10 miles up interstate to turn around, another mile or two to turn, then another 15 home. More driving in the evening. And my CEL is off, storing P062A code again.
And I notice my hood is now misaligned and the panel in front looks to have a slight bend. FML.
