I found out today that Pennsylvania accepted my vanity plate of "HELLSYA". When I sent in the paperwork, I included a detailed letter of the meaning and purpose of the plate. From the posts I have seen, looks like I got away with this one.

    WHY?

I lived in PA most of my life until recently and I usually submitted only 1 choice for a vanity plate. Then the last time I tried it, I said ehhh what the heck I'll put down my top 3...sure enough they gave me my third choice...

Now that I'm in Delaware I will probably not get a vanity plate because they make you pay for it on a yearly basis which is BS. PA was a $20 one time fee!

Florida denied ACHUBBY...seems the smile on my face did not convince DMV that I was talking about my size...they remained humorless and unconvinced...would of been sweet...

HA, Gov Wolf (one term TOm) raised it to $70 Jan1 2015...a one time fee, then the normal $36 yearly to register.

It's actually 76$ now. Even more if you go through a tag shop.

You can check what is available on line, prepare application and drop off in Harrisburg. Done. Now I can get PhatKat. Thanks!!! ( just kidding, I may try one of my faves). Look at XE5TTU8 in a mirror

Vanity plates only make it easier for the cops to remember your plate.

Oh yes, like it is so hard for the local gendarmerie to ignore the only sublime, black hooded rumbling beast in my town of 600...... I can't drive mine during traffic periods, because everyone tries to block me in for photos, or trying to force me to power around them. Damn mustangs.
