So, Last night i had some runs with a Stage 2 Cobb, E85, stripped interior WRX. My first run trying to upshift with the paddle shifts was a horrible loss for me. The car bounced off the limiter as i kept pulling the upshift as the car just told me "shift is not available" or nothing at all.

Seriously, I'm so happy about having paddle shifts, but they seem completely useless.

Also, Second run the WRX blew an axle or transmission, so we went 1-1

Oh yeah, I mean we are going to run it again once he fixes his transmission or axle, i just know to stay away from paddle shifters cause they are awful currently.

Silly question, did you have it in the right mode and paddles enabled? If it was still in Default, and you didn't change the settings, they may have been disabled

My paddles up shift every time I hit that right + paddle. Only time they may not work is shifting to 7 or 8. 1-6 pretty good to go. Don't try to rev too far over 6k because it will shut down until it can grab the next gear.

Just was playing yesterday, and yes for the hell of it I tried to over-rev, yep it shut down with the PCM version I have, no bouncing at all. But when you hit + into the next gear, she was back in business quick.

So the guy blew up trying to beat you a second time.... I love it!

I love the 8 speed in my Charger. I have my paddle shifters on and trans in track mode all the time in my custom setting. Shifts quick, firm and crisp when up shifting and responsive downshifting. Chrysler did a great job tuning this trans. Blows away the crappy shifting strategy in my 12 CTSV.
