That looks like arse !! Where is it on the car? Definitely looks like there was something on the panel & it was painted over.

Here's a better pic of location .... Didn't notice it until I detailed the car the next day from picking it up last week . Rest of the car is in great condition except the drivers side hood sits a bit high up by the front bumper .

that should be able to be fixed without doing the whole fender
I don't have a car yet but I was told they don't clear that section I was planning on having that whole area cleared to make it easier to clean but like I said no car just dreaming

Come to think of it, I had something similar on my 11 SRT. Except it was on the right rear inside trunk channel. It was about 3/4" long but never flaked off.

You can adjust hood height to correct that's easy with your black knobs left and right side. Turn left or right to raise or lower. Paint issue on inside of trunk seen those little fish eye pimples alot but nothing like that.

Gonna try adjusting the hood later on today , dealer is aware of the paint issue and has sent off pics to FCA to get it taken care of . At least it's not on any cleared areas outside the trunk area . Shouldn't have to do this on a car of this value but as hard as they are working the crews at the plant to get these pumped out I am not surprised !! I know it will be fixed , not pissed off about it just disappointed .

At least it's not in a highly visible area & should be easy to fix. Still unacceptable on a $70K car IMO, QC should have caught & fixed it before it left the plant.
Paint wise tho, these Cats aren't being handled any differently than a basic $25K Challenger ...............

That sucks but it's an easy fix. The paint in that area on my car isn't great but the coverage is even and no bubbling etc.

Dodge can't paint a car to save their life. I've had Hondas with MUCH better paint jobs.... Oh and that was 10 years or more ago LOL...

It's amazing that Dodge sees the paint coming out of this plant as acceptable in 2015 for any car at any price.

had similar issue on my 2011 inside the trunk rim....a spot of paint just fell off one day...size of a pencil eraser...i just used dr color chip.....yours is bad enough that you should let Dodge fix it for you...its inside your trunk rim....i wouldnt worry how its going to look...no ones ever going to notice a paint touch up

Dodge has has paint issues forever....if you expected perfection you made the wrong purchase..

Some of the radiator supports have been showing signs of that to. I made my dealer aware of it when i picked up my car, but have left it at that for the time being

Although I did not get too much time to spend with mine prior to the Cat going off to have the light conversion done. It all looked straight and dent free. No blemishes I could see. Panel gaps very good. Hood up a little on the passenger side but that's and easy fix.
I don't remember reading about paint issues from anyone with a black car. Do they take extra care in the paint shop as they know black will show up everything. Maybe tack rag the whole car twice instead of once.
