    Hi all
I have a sublime chally with black hood. Looking to get hood grill inserts painted sublime. Only 1 local body shop around willing to do it and at a cost of $300!
    Any suggestions?
Yeah, I know but i am not a DIY guy and i want the factory color.
    Thanks.

Yea. Weebz does the hood vents but he charges like $350 plus shipping. That's way too much. The parts cost $15. But he seems to be the only one who carries the hood vents with the Hellcat in the vent. If I could get those somewhere else 'I'd even leave them black or just paint the kitty or something. But I think he fabricates them.

A poof can of primer, two touch up kits and an air brush and off you go!
    $4 for primer
$15 each for touch up paint
    $15 each for vents

Toolman- the vent doesn't have the Hellcat on it! If I could find that, I would certainly buy it and paint it myself, or leave it black.

They are pretty cheap on eBay, keep your stock ones and mod some others.

How would you get the kitty on the vent? Can't use a sticker- it gets too hot. Weebzs looks like the Hellcat is fabricated into the vent

Weebz are all custom cut out of metal not plastic like the factory ones. $350 isn't bad when you consider time, materials, and the originality of the product. I have to order a set still just been to busy ordering more important stuff. Plus I'm still not sure how carbon fiber would look on the matte black hood.

CF imo looks great against the satin or flat black hood.

    Hood is not satin.

There is definitely more important stuff. 3.09 gears,DS an a bunch of other go fast goodies. I was talking about my hood actually. On yours with the stripes it's no doubt it would look great.

    No Doubt.
Have you had a good launch yet? Saw a guy hit 60 in 3.5 but he was running 320 section rear tires. Ever tried just modulating the launch with the brake pedal?
