Picked up the Cat about two weeks ago and still only have under 400 miles on it. Great car though and worth the wait! When the Cat was first announced I wanted one as a pair for my 70. And so, I finally got me together for family photos! They live in different garages so this is also the first time they have been together.

The first thing that I noticed was just how big the Cat is! It is huge. I always thought the first gen challengers were large but didn't realize how portly the new ones really are.

The B5s really aren't the same. I think the Cat uses the 71 color which is a bit darker. Still it really looks good in the sunlight.

The front end is pretty different too. Again I always thought the early challengers were oversized but not when put next to the modern stuff. I guess you need somewhere to put the extra cooling etc.

The back end kinda looks the same to me. Big change in spoiler (Go Wing for the 70).

    Similar fenders?

I think the interior is a bit larger in the 70 but hands down nicer in the Cat!

    Big change in stance...

Of all the colors I think the B5 changes the most from light to shade. Really darkens when the light is gone. [IMG]

First time washing the kitty. Not sure who enjoyed it more...

The new cars stay in this garage. I think the vette was a little jealous of the attention the Cat was getting. Had to give her a little wax action.

    Now she's all purrty!

I have really enjoyed the 340 70 challenger. I built it years ago to take my kids every month to the MidPen Mopar club in San Francisco. I have s house out by Napa and was driving a 440 Sport Satellite vert. Not the best for long drives. The Cat is redefining how I feel about long drives to mopar meets now!

Very nice cars! The new Challenger is more GTO size, it's 3in shorter over all length and 4in longer wheelbase than my 69 GTO.

Nice pics, it's cool to see them side-by-side to compare and contrast these great Mopars.
