I am trying to figure out if my radar detector mount (blend mount) will fit the rear view mirror post. Would one of you that have your car be kind enough to take a picture of the rear view mirror from the side so I can see the mirror mount style? I am going to need the radar detector functional immediately. Thanks in advance.

One more question if you don't mind. Your pic looks like it has a round post the mirror attaches to similar to the one in the link below. Can you confirm? Thanks in advance.

I will let someone else answer also, but I think it will work. There is very little clearance between the mirror and the base, but it looks like about a quarter of an inch is available on mine.;)

Thanks Tammie. I have blend mounts on all my cars. They don't need much room to mount. 1/4" would be enough as long as you can still adjust the mirror. It's a must have accessory for me if I want to keep my license! :)

    Here's a close up. I couldn't get in there to measure but it's around 1/4". 2014-12-14 13.53.11.jpg

Perfect, thanks. The blend mount should work fine.

I had to mount my Valentine One on the passenger side because of the placement of the 12V outlet. Cannot understand why they did not put it on the driver's side.Aggravated!!!

I have the Passport 9500ix. I will either hardwire the car with an escort smartcord or tap into the mirror power. The smart cord has control advantages.

I am definitely leaning toward a hard wire and install so it blends in to dash. I haven't decided yet, there are a lot of options. Some very expensive...

One ticket at 100mph will cover the cost!

Holy shizzy! You think the ticket will be $1,500? I better stop speeding....lol...that's not gonna happen...I can't even drive 1/4 mile to the gym at the speed limit!...I am at least 20 over at all times, except in school zones or where there are pedestrians. :)

    Passport 9500ix - $500.00 on Amazon
Passport smartcord - $30.00 on Amazon
Blend mount - $80.00 on Amazon

$610.00 + installation if you don't do it yourself. Any car stereo shop worth a darn can install in an hour.
