Decided it is the right thing to do especially with an upper pulley change.
I have done one before on my 300, so I am familiar with the process and I do have a pinning kit from the old 6.1 platform that I think will work based on what I have read.

I would appreciate any insight from anyone who has done this on a charger ?

It looks like I can get to it with a 90 deg drill as long as I remove the fan housing.

It also looks like the fan assembly has to come out of the top. I can't see it fitting by removing it from the bottom. Perhaps fnkychkn has some insight on removal of the fan assembly?

    Thanks for any insight . . . . .

PS - This is how my 300 ended up

I've done it in a '13 SRT Charger.
    Pull the fans.
Unbolt the radiator and tilt it back a bit.
I used a cordless angle drill.
It's not fun but it can be done.
I wouldn't imagine the Hellcat to be much worse

    Thanks

I have done one the same way.

I actually got the fans out and backed off the rad. There is room with a right angle drill except I can't get the crank bolt out for the life of me.

I think it's time to put it back together and re-group

Ps - I have a new crank bolt ready to go in..

Throw some heat to her,if you do make sure to wrap a wet rag or cloth around the pulley so you control the heat to the pulley, just heat the bolt....Carefull....
And Use An Impact Gun with an impact 6 point socket & no reducers if at all possible!

I had a hard time getting my 5.3L LS crank bolt out. It took two people, one pulling and one pushing, and an extra long breaker bar.

    Thanks for the tip

I usually put a breaker bar, pry it on the floor and jog the engine with the starter. Rotation is opposite and it works. Never had a problem.

    This time, no dice.

I can't turn it by hand with the breaker bar because the engine spins and I don't know how to stop it from spinning on an automatic.

    Frustrating..

Use the gearbox pull under the centre console and stick it in drive. That should work

I don't know if the Hellcat pulley has it, but on the 392 pulley there's 2 x 10mm threaded holes.
I took 2 long shouldered bolts and threaded them in and used a pry bar to hold the pulley from turning. Then I used a breaker bar and cheater pipe to break it loose.
Did the same thing on reassembly to torque it.

    Thanks YLW!

When I was looking there is in fact 3 holes for a pulley remover and they had threads in them
I will find a couple bolts and use a pry bar from prevent rotation, Damn, wish I would have thought of that then.
I put the car back together last night in frustration. Will tackle another day....

    Thanks for the tip !!

keep the pulley balanced as I used roll pins per Kenne belle instructions
The fixture had 2 holes in it.
    While I was at it I did both pins . . . . .couldn't hurt I suppose

    thanks

Ok Makes sense... I just hadn't seen that. If KB says to do both... that is what you do.
