Waiting to order a 2016 plum crazy Hellcat. Wondering how the red seat belts will look against the purple with black interior or if I am better off with the standard black belts. The wheels will be brass monkey.
    What does everyone think?

I think that color combo will look awesome. I bought sepia/black interior with Sublime, and it looks amazing. The red seat belts will further contrast and offset your interior and will go well with PCP.

Be sure you can actually order that combination. Some color combinations of seats and seat belts are not available. However, since you are asking the question... NO don't do it.

It's all personal taste. I wouldn't get red belts with PCP but your car do what you like!!!

From a color perspective, Red seat belts in the PCP would make sense. Do you remember learning about Primary colors (Red, Yellow, Blue) and Secondary colors (Orange, Purple, Green)? (Bet you didn't know you were going to get an art lesson here, huh?) Primary colors are considered to be "pure" colors (not a mixture of anything else), and Secondary colors require a mixture of at least two other Primary colors. For example: Red + Yellow = Orange, Yellow + Blue = Green, and Red + Blue = Purple. The thought is that placing a Primary color next to it's "root" secondary color is thought to be contrasting (friendly). So, Purple (Red + Blue) next to Red should be ok, but Green (Yellow + Blue) next to Red "might" be "clashy" (although we see it all the time in Christmas themes.) In the case of Black, White or Gray, you can pretty much pair any color without clashing. Browns and Tans are more or less a trial and error kind of case.

So.....here's the kicker. My Hellcat is Sublime Green and has Red seat belts. I did not order it that way (and would never have ordered it that way because of the above "rules"). In any case, when I first saw it, I gasped and then took a second look. I think it actually looks great! (Could some auto fashion designer know something that I didn't??) One of the things that I hear the most comments about from admirers is the Red seat belts and how "classy" they look! (Remember that Popes, Cardinals and Hookers wear Red to set them off as being "special" or "unique").

In the end, it's your own personal taste (you've already seen opposing opinions here). IMHO, if you are one who likes to be a little flashy, bold and think outside of the "box", go with the Red seat belts. If you are one who is shy, afraid of change or criticism, or somewhat narrow minded, stick with the Black seat belts. (If you are afraid of flashy or bold though, maybe you should consider something other than a Hellcat, because shy, reserved or demure it is not!

Good luck in making your decision!

If you are even asking if you should, means you want to and want to know if you will be accepted or laughed at.
Red and purple are awesome together. Black belts are classic. Red belts are edgy. It is like buying a wedding dress or a custom suit. How do you see yourself behind the wheel of your car? Do you see yourself classic or edgy?

I don't know..the speedo and tach gauge backgrounds are red..the calipers are red..there is some red going on with the purple....it could look pretty cool with red seat belts...the belts are actually more of a blood red then a bright red. Red belts look good in the black cars with all black interiors...
