I just ordered the DSS Aluminum shaft and I plan to make a plate like that. Did you mate it up to the flange yet? I was hoping a flat plate will work.

Mine are hard hard miles too. At least 50 passes and over a thousand miles with the plugs and no grease

I don't like the idea of just plugging the holes. I want to keep the grease inside the CV joint where it is needed. If you just plug the holes, most of the grease can still fling out of the CV joint area.

I just ordered the driveshaft, so I can only form an opinion based on the photos I have seen so far.

I believe you about the plugs not leaking. You are not understanding my point. I want to keep the grease captured in the driveshaft flange ONLY. There is no reason to allow any grease past the connection point and into the transmission flange area. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong.

Cool. Do you have any suggestion for a sealant?

Because the design covers the three extra holes, I don't see a need for sealant. Mike

This arrived in the mail yesterday. Since I didn't ask for it, I'm guessing DSS is sending the kit to all 2015 Auto owners who bought their shaft.

I just received my DSS AL A8 Challenger driveshaft today and I started to analyze the flat plate fix. I don't believe it will work in some cases.
These are instructions that come with the driveshaft.

As you can see, the acceptable dimensions go from 3.25" to 3.75". This allows for some manufacturing tolerance from one car to another.
If your car falls at the low end of the tolerance, the center shaft of the CV joint will protrude past the point where the plate sits.

I believe the Driveshaft Shop posted a possible fix early on and it was a plate with a raised dimple in the middle. I'm not sure why they abandoned that idea.
This is how it looks at the high end of the tolerance.

I'm going to pursue making a dimpled plate at a local machine shop next week.
