If all goes as planned, my stock Hellcat will be stock no more. I wanted to keep it stock, but all this talk of performance goodies being released has given me the mod bug. As you know, hemituner (AJ) has been working tirelessly on creating a tuning solution for the Hellcat…no guessing games…but a solid working solution. He is also getting me a few other parts to add on with the tune. Here's how my build will be going:

    BWoody 5" CAI
    ATI Overdrive Pulley (10%)
    DSS Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft
Solo Performance Exhaust (X-Pipe Only Version)
    ARH Long Tube Headers (possibly)
    Tuning by Hemituner

Hopefully I will get to do some dyno testing with some or most of these installed. Depending on volume, I may or may not do the long tube headers…I do drive it daily. I have to see if the benefits outweigh the cons. I will keep the build updated here as I get things done.

Why's that? I think my CF one is coming in a few days. I think there's a bit more clearance for an exhaust with the CF as well.

More clearance w/CF and if you have one moot point now. I don't think you have the HP needing CF so save $800 but.....

Oh snap! I'm looking forward to seeing this....

I told the wife the car was going to be stock, but not one of our cars has remained untouched.... Even the wife's car has a CAI amd the aFe CAI just arrived for the cat.

Does Solo have an exhaust system out for the HC yet? (I have one on the Jeep and really like it... Little loud on the highway at 90 mph and 3k rpm).

    HP goals?

Yea I need the clearance for the exhaust…don't want to take a chance and have it banging around on the DS.

We have one in the final stages of development…we have two actually…one will have our X design muffler and the other will be just an X pipe. Both will have J pipes to eliminate the drone. As for HP goals…whatever AJ can pull out of it safely. It is a daily driver so I don't want problems. When we did a baseline stock dyno, it put out 655hp and 588tq. I would say a build like this should add another 100 or so HP at the wheels, so probably a little over 865 at the crank. AJ would be the expert on that, though. I am merely speculating. Oh well, guess I will need tires too LOL.

I like the OEM exhaust too, but since I am affiliated with SOLO, it makes sense for me to at least try it. This is the first car I have ever had where the OEM exhaust already sounded excellent. Upper pulley will be more of an issue, as ours has a clutch system in it. I think it's probably there for a reason and any upper pulley I have seen being tested does not have the clutch system.

If the lower pulley can perform as well as an upper with a tune, Im ok with that, the down fall of the upper is its going to be working all the time

Although I have done a couple of mods ( shifter, frame braces and shock braces. I think I am going to wait on the performance upgrades, The aftermarket for the hellcat is still very much in its infancy and I am quite sure there will be bigger and better things out there in the next few months to a couple of years.

Definitely would love to…going to have to invest in some better tires before I do that. I would love to take it on a road course as well.
