Putting this out there for M6 owners to see because I know changing the trans fluid out is a mod a lot of you seem to like to do.

There is a special fill procedure for the M6's in the Hellcat's. The fill hole located on the trans is NOT the proper amount. In years past it was drain the fluid and fill up to the fill hole. On the Hellcats you now have an external trans cooler for the M6. The fill hole does not accommodate the extra fluid needed for the cooler.

Drain the fluid as you usually would. You can fill the trans in the fill hole until it starts to pour out. Install the fill plug. Remove the upper cooler line and finish filling the trans from there.

Failure to add the additional fluid will leave the trans approximately 20% under filled.

392's and R/T M6's fill at the fill hole and your done. No changes on those vehicles.

My question is When draining trans. Are you in fact
    Also draining the cooler?
If the cooler is located above the trans. There would be some head pressure,
    Depending on height above trans!
Really to do it properly, you would have to also drain the cooler and flush
The lines at the same time.
I do know there is a trans. Flushing machine used for automatic transmissions,
In which you would hook up the lines, through cooler and cylcle the fluid that way.
This could be an alternative to doing it manually and would likely provide
    A better result.
Adding fluid manually without some sort of a pump to add new fluid, likely
Would be a little problematic and messy.
One could use a suction tube in reverse with
    attached hose?
To make your life a little easier to aid in filling, you could then attach hose to cooler line and cycle fluid through that way,if one wanted to do it at home without a lift
    Or an electric/pump/flusher unit.
I would likely Use a flushing unit and do it that way,for better results!
Thanks to O.P. For bringing this up and maybe add it to the WIKI FYI.
    Cheers;

No you are not draining the cooler when you just drain from the drain hole. The drain procedure states to remove the trans cooler lines and purge the trans cooler and lines with 8 to 10 psi of compressed air.
