    Hello Everyone,

So my online account "Mopar Owner Connect" keeps telling me I need a 10,000 service. I called my dealer and they said it's just an oil change. I keep telling them that I need a 10K service which includes all the inspection stuff and they keep telling me it's still just an oil change. I understand the core of the service is just an oil change but I want to make sure everything gets done so I stay within my warranty guidelines so there is no excuses if anything happens.
Over the weekend, I took in my car and asked for the 10K service and once again they said it's just an oil change. I asked for an inspection that went along with the 10K service and they did a vehicle inspection (like something you get when buying a used car)....WTF?

So my question is, does it even matter? Should I even keep pursuing it? Don't they want to over charge me for an oil change? LOL

Never heard of the 10K service. I've just been doing oil changes every 6K or so. I think I just did my 5th oil change 2 weeks ago.

I've learned the checklists for those make the "service" seem a little more involved than it is. They more than likely don't do any of that stuff, they change the oil, give it a glance to make sure nothing glaring is wrong and hand it back to you a couple hundred bucks poorer.

23,000 here and an oil change includes or is suppose to include inspection of all those items.

No matter what any time your vehicle goes into the shop they are to have a full inspection done period and by full i mean full i never skipped over anything for any of my customer's if i was you i would be demanding for that inspection to be done correctly .

Most of this is inspect (preventive maintenance) I've got 27,500 and still going strong. I do all of this inspection stuff myself and save bucks.

call another dealer and ask the service manager "what's included" Lexus has a check off list and they refill all of the fluids, rotate the tires, etc. hand wash the car, and hand you a free beverage while you sit in their lounge chairs watching a big screen tv, reading the local newspaper.

I would gladly trade this just for an oil change (provided the HC comes with it.)

Check the back of your owners manual for your maintenance schedule.

I'm sitting at 29,800 with nothing but oil changes on the books. I have seen them inspect other parts of the vehicle while doing the change though.
