Used to hear when the monthly allocations opened. Is it still the 2nd Thursday of the month and does the allocation window still last about 5 days?

My dealer has 1 allocation this year (very small dealer) which he has reserved for me. Been trying to order PCP and from what I've heard, next month (December) will be the last chance to order one in PCP. I'd settle for B5 since they don't offer my 1st choice of Top Banana.

Well... I don't have any specific answers for you, since I'm not aware of the PCP limit for only half the year?

However, since I am going through a small dealer as well, 3 allocations for the whole year - and the first allocation was not the transmission I wanted... you may need to shop around if you care which transmission you want, since your dealer with only 1 allocation may not get it.

PCP is only orderable through Dec 31 per the Press Release from Dodge back in August.

Keep in mind that a dealer doesn't find out until the start of any given month, IF he actually will have any allocation(s) in that month, and at that time he also finds out what those allocations are specifically for (A Challenger, or a Charger allocation, and for a Challenger allocation, an Automatic, or a Manual).

Is this 100% confirmed? One of my dealers just told me they are being told by dodge that they will get allocation in January.

So far this year, it has been that way. Dealers are told when they actually get their Challenger allocation for the month whether it's a manual or automatic allocation. I don't know if they'll change it back to normal for the second half of the manufacture year or not.

They are apparently limiting the Challenger Automatic orders to make sure they have supply for the Chargers (which are autos only).

Last year they ran out, and very few Chargers were built, by comparison... which makes the 2015 Chargers artificially worth more in the long run due to rarity.

If you are next in line at your dealer, and your dealer has more than one allocation for the year... you get bumped to the next allocation... and if that one isn't the tranny you want... you get bumped to the next allocation, etc. etc. until they are out of allocations.

If your dealer only has one allocation for the whole year (like the original poster), and the allocation they get isn't the tranny you want... you are SOL.

There are still a bunch of 2015 cars listed as "on the lot" on dodge.com and cars.com. And the number of 2016 cars on those sites is growing every day. At this point, I wouldn't be waiting for a dealer to get an allocation to order a car. Start making phone calls and buy one that's out there already. Or find a dealer that ordered a car for inventory and see if they can still change it to meet your specs. That's how I found my car in October. You might have to travel a little to get your car, but there are a lot of them out there now.

Believe me, I have been looking. First, I have a 5k voucher on a 2016, so I'm letting my order ride. That said, the only in-stock 2016 Granite A8 I found without a @#$$%^ sunroof, the asshat dealer wanted 25k ADM. I also put in an offer for a 2015 for a private party, but that didn't go through.

Thanks for the heads up... I have a backup plan...just wasn't expecting to need it. I found a dealer with several 2015's used. They are over priced as well, but I haven't started working them over yet... I gonna hold on for a little longer.
