I thought of doing subwoofer ported box dual 12" but the factory Harmon Kardon sounds top notch already.

The primary reason charger is also faster is the aerodynamics

They stated it has more lbs. over the rear axle. Also the wheelbase is 4 inches longer which is why I ordered the Charger as that should help it hook better launching.

I think it has a better balance of weight all around.

All true, but the Challenger is on the road now and lots of fun!

To match the % front/rear weight balance of the Charger, and to not go over the Charger's total weight, you need to add between 100-110lbs in the Challenger trunk.

This is something that I wanted to test out a track to see if a heavier Challenger, could actually real in a better 1/4mi time (as Charger claims to have over Challenger) because of the added weight over the axle.

    SE, SXT and R/T — 0.304 R/T Scat Pack — 0.335 SRT 392 — 0.335 SRT Hellcat — 0.335

    SRT Charger Hellcat — 4,575 (2,075) 56%/44% weight distrib
    SRT Challenger Hellcat - 4,439 (2013.5) auto; 4,449 (2018) manual 57%/43% weight distrib

    136 lbs delta in weight.

Challenger is 32 lbs lighter in the front / 104 lbs lighter in the rear.

    4439 lbs
    2530.23 lbs (front)
    1908.77 lbs (rear)

So, correction, add 79-80lbs in the rear to balance the Challenger to a 56% / 44% weight distribution.

    4,439 + 80 = 4519 lbs
    2530.23 lbs (front) 55.99%
    1988.77 lbs (rear) 44.00%

Or 2 x 40lbs sandbags (or other choice of material like 40lb rock salt bags). One for each side or somewhat center in the trunk.

Really, for the Hellcat, it will come down to finding the balance between weight and traction.

For example, very roughly, if adding 100lbs increases the 1/4mi by a 0.1s, however, your 60ft traction improves by 0.15 - 0.2 (resulting in a decreased 1/4mi time of 0.2 - 0.3s) due to the added weight, you'll still be gain a net decrease of 0.1s+ in the 1/4mi.

On the flipside, you don't have the extra weight and could improve traction by other means (e.g. better tires), then it really is a win win.

However, for $10 per 40lbs bag vs. $250-300 per rear tire to improve traction; as it goes, I'd try it.

All this techie stuff. Just throw a skinny guy in the trunk and call it good!! Lol;). Okay, don't really do that...I am sure the back seat is good. Maybe jam their head through the arm rest hole to the trunk...o_O That should be good weight distribution.:D

I think the best bet would be tires,, and pulley and tune, that, and I guess a drive shaft will put us in the very low 10s

To go fast, you don't add weight, you remove it...and learn how to set up the chassis/suspension for the best 'hook'.
