For those of you who mange to get in the high 10's, with a stock car, using only drag radials, what is your 0 - 60 mph time? And how many tenths was your 0 - 60 mph time reduced with the addition of the drag radials.

Right now the best I have managed is 4.1 seconds. I am trying to determine what that would equate to in the 1/4 mile and how much quicker my 0 - 60 time would be with DR's.

    thank you....

Remember that the surface at a properly prepared track is like walking on endless bubble gum. It will nearly pull your shoes off.

I can't get under 3.8 even on track. I know that I'm not launching it correctly. Do you guys nail on 3rd amber or gradually press the pedal for few feets then nail it. of course, it would come with practice but just trying to understand how you guys launch this beast.

I haven't been to the track in years.

I would launch on the on the solid 2nd yellow when I had my truck, but, that's a different animal.

Leaving as soon as you see the 3rd yellow light will help your reaction time, but not your e/t, 60' etc. the e/t starts once you leave the lights. So, settle in, get comfy, and leave when you feel right.

First race your car down the track (E/t), then race at the light (r/t)

Interesting. A full second improvement. My guess is that about .5 of that was due to DR's and .5 of that due to the track vs. the street.
    Thank you for the info.

I run 18 usually. Have you ran yet with the 17" tires? Also, are you a8 or m6

A8 and Yes I ran those 17" tire and same results ( I think I'm going to change my burnout routine). Do you nail on 3rd amber or gradually press it for few feets then just nail it.

Thank you. All good info. So it sounds like I can reduce my 0-60 time as much as .5 seconds switching from OEM tires to the NItto 555r's.
