LOL... everyone is different man, gathering this info will not mean a thing.

Some people are placing their orders and sitting in their nicely bolstered front seats in a month or two... others are still waiting after 10 months.

Personally, from order to delivery was 105 days for me; your experience may differ (D1/allocation to delivery was about 1.5 months)

I don't know about "allocation" but I ordered my car on January 12th (first day to order B5) then my VON converted to a VIN on March 2th and the car arrived at the dealership on May 13th. So from VIN to delivery it was a little over 2 months

Got the call from my dealer on March 6 that my Challenger was allocated for a May build. [7 months after order]
    Went D March 9.
    Went D 1 April 25.
    Car born, May 21 @ 3:56 pm.
Should have the Hellcat by June 5.

    Canadian order. Smaller dealer.

See my sig... I placed my order soon after I was told that my dealer had an allocation. I hope to get my car at the end of next month - as long as there are not any serious delays. (no black hood, brass monkeys, sunroof to slow me down)

Naw, my record still stands. :p

I answered your question when I wrote "D1/allocation to delivery was about 1.5 months".

Also, dealer allocation to delivery times vary wildly (which is what I was talking about). We've had guys with BUILT CARS that sat and did nothing for 6-8 weeks! Other users have had VINs given to them after allocation and had to just sit on them and stew! This allocation system is truly a crapshoot!

Locked spot at dealership May 5, 2014
Placed first order VON on 9/9/2014
Allowed dealer to take that order since all my wants were late availability (B5, Black Hood, SunRoof, M6, Laguna)
Placed new VON on 5/28/2015 with new M6 allocation which my dealer was guaranteed one
    Went D1 on 7/21/15 with 16 others
    Possible delivery around 8/20/15

That is 16 months and a couple of weeks give or take.

I would like an explanation.... Why are some people still waiting for their Sept. 2014 orders to be built and others were able to order in May 2015 and have their cars already. It only makes sense that as the parts become available (A8s, sunroofs, etc.) that the earliest orders will have priority and be built first.

its the question of the year with regard to the Hellcat:

the zones are giving allocations based on certain guidelines such as dealer performance, volume, how many unsold Cats are in inventory. The May 2015 orders were opened and accepted if people that had a VON wanted to switch to an M6 standard transmission. Many of those who did make that switch were immediately sent to D status (vin number assigned) and shortly after went to gateline scheduled for production (D1).

Now that some A8 transmissions are entering the production assembly some of the older Vons are being picked up and those orders are going to D / D1 next.
