On hot days, I smell a slight antifreeze smell when I leave work. I don't see any leaks and the temp doesn't go over about 205. Is this something to be concerned about?

I would get it checked out. If it's just slightly leaking, the antifreeze may be getting trapped on the belly pan and not leaking to the ground. Mine never over heated and I saw a small puddle under it one day, pulled the belly pan off and probably a pint or so spilled out. Ended up being a bad radiator

Cold pressure test for sure and warm, check both caps as well to vent at 16 LTR and 18 coolant

Don't know how true it is, but the Dealership told me that this radiator issue is fixing to be a recall. So who knows

Is this an early build Hellcat issue or has there been any incidents on cars that were built from say April on? As someone who took delivery of theirs in mid May I'm wondering if I'll escape the cooling issue or not, especially relevant since I leave on a road trip fairly soon.

2/6/15 build is the latest I have BUT if people don't report them on here so I can ask stuff the results may be skewed

Let me know what dealer finds and the following

    • Stick or auto
    • Mileage
    • Last 8 of VIN
    • Build Date on LF door unless you know actual.

    Didnt drive today but:

    Manual
    1500
    FH854422

Will get actual build date when I get home.

Also, I smelled it again yesterday as I was leaving work. Pretty warm too...about 90. The traffic was pretty bad so it was start and go for 20 minutes, during which time I kept an eye on the temp gauge and it peaked at 223.

Have dealer appointment first thing Friday morning.
