QUESTION REGARDING REMOTE START..

    Can you make it so remote start can be used while the hood is up? So you are at a car show with the hood up and someone wants to hear it run. Now I have to close the hood, get back in the car, start it up, re-open hood and get back out. I think it would be better just to hit the remote start button 2x and have it start.

    just push down the hood switch by the passenger side hood hinge

    Oh, well that is not very desirable. Guess this will take some more thought then. I may also want to start it when I am a few feet away and not close enough to hold down the button. Thank you.

    well it wouldnt take much to replace the spring loaded switch with a toggle switch.

    For the Charger, the hood switch is integrated into the hood latch assembly. You could wire in a toggle by-pass switch to provide the hood closed signal back to the BCM (body control module). This signal is a ground but a closed loop signal out to the hood switch.
