I used to get the same dumbass questions when I first got my 2008 SRT-8 Challenger. It was HEMI Orange! I can't recall any Camaro that was even close to that color!

I've had a few people ask, "Oh, when did you get a Mustang?" when they used to see my 2010 Challenger SRT8. I never had anyone mix it up with a Camaro, though. Lots of people would refer to it as "the 2 door Charger".

People say that these new camaros and vettes are nice looking and set the bar. Let me tell you something, the challenger is the perfect match of new and old style made into our machines that we love. We have the trendsetter, we have the more authentic nostalgic look to our cats that can't be matched. Screw those bow ties and those rounded off fascias than you can't fit anyone in to. We have the ride and looks, they have a over priced, weak sounding pieces of .................
And that's all I have to say about that

Just wanted to hear from others the questions that you come across when out on the prowl with your Cat. Thanks for sharing your funnies!

Was at the gas station yesterday, the attendent asked me which engine I had in this one, "Do you have the red engine or the black one?" He mentioned to me in all seriousness; "Dodge makes this car with two different engines and then gives you either a black key or a red key." I thanked him, smiled and showed him my red key...

So true MABBRYFL30! The Dodge Challenger is without a doubt the best of what the new has to offer with the old school, retro styling and stance. A Corvette, Camaro, or Mustang of today pay no tribute to their former heritage other than badging.

So true! Best styling, bringing back the looks of the muscle cars "back in the day" and a beautiful melding of the tech of today!

Guy at the gas station today asked me if the Hellcat is fast than the hemi version. I just said yes and went on my way.

What in the ******* hell. Even a layman should be able to tell the difference for Christ's sake. If not, maybe read the back?! It clearly states what it is like most vehicles. And by most I mean pretty much all vehicles.

Well I've never been asked if it was a Camaro or Mustang... but I've got a few Chargers. The best is when I bought my 2009 SRT8 Hemi Orange Challenger... (Not many Challengers around at that time) I had taken it to the wand wash and was drying it with a shammy and this older gentleman walks up to me looking at the car with a puzzled look... and says wow that looks brand new and as he got closer the more puzzled he became. He thought it was an original 70 Challenger. He was blown away as he didn't know they started producing the Challenger again! ;) We had a good chat after that.

People in NY (and LA) seem to know what's what. While I had the Charger 392, people knew what it was and no one mistook it for a Camaro or anything else. In fact people seemed to usually know exactly what it was.
