Soooo...lots of guys here going on long road trips to go and pick up their cars. Really, really long road trips.

Care to comment on the cabin civility in terms of highway noise level? I've heard other reports mentioning a less than quiet cabin - droning was the descriptor that comes to mind. That was from a challenger owner, however. I am wondering if more sound deadening material was used in this car and if really is a good long distance highway cruise missile.

No droning that I noticed. I've taken mine on a couple 250 mile drives and I personally think it's extremely quiet, especially considering the power that's under the hood. Of course, that all changes when you mash the gas pedal.

Ive had my 6sp on several 3-400 mile trips. there are times with the right gear and right rpm that it resonates which sounds great.. easy to adjust and avoid.. it can cruise very quietly under little load..

It's a LOT quieter inside than outside. I was concerned that it was going to be too loud and it's not. I was REALLY concerned that my 2&4 year old girls would immediately say "Daddy it's too loud, I like your other car better" but they never said a word about the noise inside. OUTSIDE is a different story, when i remote start it, they cover their ears and SCREAM "TOO LOUD", LOL.

But it was quite comfortable from Phoenix to Philly. And the bluetooth (until I blew out a speaker) radio was great.

    Very impressed.

Lastly, I make sure to open the windows for all passengers at least ONCE when I open it up...THAT sound is unreal! Sounds like explosions coming from the back of the car.

Car rides great and is not loud at light throttle, when you mash it its loud and sounds awesome. No droning noise, reports mentioning a less than quiet cabin, I would ask what was it compared too, like Jim said his Viper is loud. I have a Viper and you hear road and exhaust noise. You hear the supercharger whine but it is a good thing. When cruising it is quiet and I have to say the ride is real nice on long drives.

No drone at all. It's actually very quiet. That 8speed keeps it in such low rpm that sometimes I can only hear the tires on the road! I am putting my cutouts in on Monday so I will be able to fix that part soon, and when I take a trip it will be back to quiet / stealth mode. And as rob said when you get on it the sound is ahhhhmazing.

Mine isn't. I have a bit of drone, but I have the 6 speed. I love it! It's awesome when people look over to see what is coming up the freeway! Lol:D

A8 here. Car can be VERY quiet is some situations, very loud in others.

To my ears there is SIGNIFICANT drone at certain throttle/speeds when highway cruising. You can vary the drone by changing throttle and/or speed but I'm a bit surprised at the amount of drone for a factory car.
