I do it through the Escort Live app on my phone. Connect your phone to your radar detector via Bluetooth and go into settings on your phone's app. I'm sure you can do it through the detector, but I would reference the user manual first.

Removed x and k from mine. I leave laser on in case he hits the car in front of me. I find with Waze and the V1, I'm pretty well protected. Nothing is 100%. Also, if you have a V1, you start to get to know what signals might be real and which are not.

I had an older model V1 and the K band was ridiculous on it, was always going off. I recently got a new model and it's significantly better, I installed the old one on my wife's car and turned K band off, I haven't seen a K band be a cop in a long time it's all Ka here.

You know you can get any older V1 upgraded to the latest version? Depending on how out of date your model is, it can cost between 99-299 for the upgrade.

Yeah, I figured I wanted one in her car anyway for when I drive it lol and the upgrade price was like 100 dollars less than just getting another one.

My Val1 was last updated in 2009 and just upgraded to a new one for the $289.00. Law here in NM and Maui use both K and Ka but with the "junk fighter", the K falsies (other cars too) on A mode have been reduced about 80%. I got Waze on my iPhone but do not mess much with my iPhone in the car since my 2016 does not have Apple Car Play, boo.
