I would recommend NOT driving your car until you address this. I put 3800 miles on my car and NEVER had an issue so I did not worry about it.

I went to a local event Saturday evening. When I arrived I opened the hood only to find my radiator hose about to come off!

I borrowed a set of pliers and put it back into place. I drove the car 30 miles to put it up, when I arrived, I opened the hood only to find the hose about to come off again!!!

I am looking into a new upper and lower hose, and clamps! I hear BMW 44mm clamps are the best for this use???

    Anybody have any insight?

There has been a recall (TSB) issued for this about 3-4 weeks ago

This is a big topic already. Lots of people are putting on all types of secondary clamps, including the BMW clamp. Do a search and you'll easily find some huge threads.

I heard it was never officially recalled?

I never heard anything from the dealership or received anything in the mail.

This is semi old news. see here: look for the TSB further at post#31 of this thread and you can see the correct PN and install procedure for the clamp.

Upper Radiator hose recall. SRT Hellcat Forum

looks like that is the clamp on the top inlet. I would buy 2 and put one there and where the TSB says.

I will contact dealer tomorrow. Is the clamp they are issuing any good?

I was just shocked to see it that bad after 30 miles of very, very easy driving.

You are correct. According to DrBuick, this is NOT a recall YET. Right now it is just a Technical Bulletin. After all the cooling system issues, hoses, clamps, radiators, I would imagine there may be some sort of recall in the near future.

Good question. I just can't understand why this issue would not have shown up while in design and testing phase along with all the test mules being ran hard. No one heard any issues in reference to the test mules that I ever remember reading.

I know, you wanna fly down to Texas and clean it for me? ;);););)

What am I supposed to get a toothbrush and clean it head to toe??? I bought the car to drive and enjoy as a daily driver. I did NOT buy it to put 30 coats of wax on it and sell it for $10,000 less than I paid 3-4 years from now.

    IT GETS DIRTY!

Everybody acts like this is a lambo, or some "supercar", when in reality it is just a challenger. You can baby your car all you want, but this car (quality wise) isn't much more than a Fiat 500 :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:. Not that I have any experience with one of those.
