Same deal. Survived 6000 mi. Took it out and exercised it more than normal. Something from the radiator area is now leaking, and it is NOT on top. It will be in next week. I hope to know more then. I don't want a replacement if they can't explain the abnormal failure rate and what has been done not to repeat this.

Search RRT 15-084. The leaking radiator is an issue with early build dates. The new radiator fixes the problem.

    ^^^^

Yes the front bumper does have to come off the car to get to everything. But the bumper is only held on by 6 bolts and a bunch of plastic clips. It basically falls off the car.

LOL. Yeah the forum search function does something weird. You search it once it does only bring up this post. Search it again it should show all the threads the have that in them.

If you try to search from this thread it will pull this thread. If your on the forum homepage and search it all the threads should then show also.

My car came off the line 03MAR15 a few days before the cutoff date for the RRT. Upon inspection my car had the updated rad and extra clamp (which I already knew it had the clamp) installed during production at the factory. :)

Mine was one of the first ones to split! Took well over 2 weeks to order and fix. Haven't had any more problems (knock on wood) since have almost 8000 miles on it. Also an A8 built last year.
