I called into SRT on the Challenger so many times that I think I spoke to everyone who works 8-5. Veronica (ugh!), Jeff, Doug, Duane, etc..

    Caren,
How were you notified of the changes in status? So right now I have a VON. I guess I am asking if you know really how the dealer gets notifed? So when my VIN gets issued will they send an email or should my Dealer be checking a site?
    Take Care,
    Chris

I don't believe anyone is notified upon status changes. I had to ask my sales guy to check the status and send me the updated POC. Some sales guys are more proactive than others. But I don't believe any of them truly get notified of status changes without manually checking.

Jeff is indeed awesome - he helped me tremendously. Proactive to the hilt - never quit attitude, even when the big company BS is thick. Hats off to him and the SRT team. RS perhaps.

Kind of ironic that most of us believe RS over SRT, but history serves us. I've got a conflict going on right now. RS says shipping this week and SRT says pushed from last week builds and now getting built 1st week of March. Really want to go with RS on this one.... I do have an A8 though and have seen others posts.

I talked to my dealer and they do have to go in and check; they are not notified. So now my follow up question is you guys keep referencing a POC. Where do I get that and what purpose does it serve to have it?
    Thanks!

The POC is a Priced Order Confirmation. You can ask your sales person for it (I think they get it from their sales manager). It has some good information on it, which just proves the state of things, as far as the order is concerned. You can verify the options that were ordered, see the order/build stage, see the VON/VIN, see that it is a "sold" order, and has your name on it, etc. It doesn't change anything, but it lets you know the official status on a number of things.

I wanted to see mine to make sure it was considered a sold order, and it's nice to have an official piece of paper with the VIN, options and my name on it. With all the games some of these dealers have been playing, it just gave me some piece of mind.
