I would like to remove my rear seats and replace them with a rear seat delete kit but I want to make sure I can get the seats out before I order the kit. I did an online search for a video but I could only find them for Chargers. I believe the bottom part just has 2 clips and I have to yank it up near the front corners but the back seems more involved. I think there is a bolt at each end near the top of the seats but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any photos of the rear seats removed that shows the location of the clips and/or bolts?

The back seats shouldn't have anything at the top as they pull down to create a pass through into the trunk. Pull the cloth tab up in the corner and down they come.

I'm swapping seat belts today, so I can give you an update on how to do that rear seat later this afternoon.

    Update...

Bottom just pops out with a tug upwards at each front corner.

Top requires folding them down. You will see the 5, 18mm retaining nuts. Remove those and the top portion comes out in 2 pieces. Easy. And the seats are a lot lighter than I expected.

    Great! Thanks!
I want to do the rear seat delete kit that is sold by Speedlogix because its supposed to be a 20 pound weight reduction but more importantly it will be a nice surface to mount a fire extinguisher.

    Hello, WNY.
Just to chime in on the fire extinguisher....On ebay you can buy a 1 lb. dry chem, refillable model that fits perfectly in the cup holder on the inside door panels. I think I paid 65.00 delivered. red, chrome, or black.

I'm thinking about getting a 2.5lb Halon Extinguisher. That would be to big for the door. I'd also like it securely bolted down.

Wow....you're going to remove the back seats, add a fire extinguisher and net a 19 lbs weight reduction. Didn't Carnage drop 70 lbs or so just from dieting?

Ehhh...it won't even be a 19lb reduction. The fire extinguisher weighs 10lbs. I need the fire extinguisher for the track and by doing it this way, I can get a great end result that is totally reversible.

I was going to say exactly that. Luckily all I need to drop is about 12-15 to get to racing weight. Better than ruining looks of tha awesome black leather interior.

I tried this for the bottom, no luck and I didn't want to force it.

Other (OLD) Mopars in the past were push back and then pull up, did you pull STRAIGHT up?

Yes, just straight up.. not like the old style seats. Think of it almost like a snap in place
