Warning: It's Satirical, and serious at parts.

Ok, so I don't think he saw that dodge was planning on selling $5,000 or so Hellcats last year, instead demand couldn't meet supply. It is just starting to even out. Challenger and Charger sales are up because of what the Hellcat is doing for the brand. Although I can't prove it but I suspect that Dodge is selling a lot more SRT 392's than they otherwise would because of these cars. The hellcats are profitable, otherwise Dodge would have limited the production to a certain numbers, but they didn't so I suspect theres quite a bit of profit in the car.

    Even with the satire.... meh.

Not sure why he kept going on about folks wanting economy cars (If that was a serious part) in the land of SUVs. While the Neons were cool.. the Aveneger was kind of cool as a mini-charger, IMO. They should have made an SRT-4 version.

I agree with you. The hellcat doesn't get any worse gas mileage than my Escalade or slightly worse than my R/T Durango. I don't see very many economy cars where I live, mostly SUV's, BMWs, Benz's and the occasional Minivan. I might see a Prius every now and then and get disgusted looks when I drive past their ugly butts.

hipster.jpg LOL these are the cars that hipsters don't want because they can't afford them on their baristo pay. You know the guy that wears tight jeans, a flannel, and drinks starbucks but wants to be called a lumber jack because he's got the whole anorexic brawny man look going on. Hipsters hate burning fuel and use environmental impact excuses to compensate for the lack of a paying audience at their last river dance band gig. Real people don't want Prius's. The guy that works for a living wants to love what he drives and he wants that hot chick (or wife) in the passenger seat working his zipper has he rips through the gears on a mountain pass during a Sunday drive with a Hellcat. Real Hellcat owners get it! It's everything that is Americana about not being a mindless 4 door drone that gets 40 miles to the gallon. I like the fact that when I drop the hammer I don't hear crickets. I like seeing cars in my rear view get smaller and smaller has if when I passed them they were hit with a star trek shrink gun. As far as my small C**K I'm a grow'er no a show'er and I only compensate for that by walking around with a chubby after a long ride in my Cat........or a chick with small hands!

Isn't this because you don't really plan on driving it anyway?

Not as a daily driver anyway, come spring/summer, we've got trips planned up over Peak to Peak Highway and other places. ~1500miles a year or so...

So not nearly as much as some, but more than "museum" miles...
