0[1].jpg My Hellcat is new as of 5/4, and it looks great stock, but I'd like to fly a little more under the radar and have removed the rear spoiler as a trial. I know that makes it look a little less aggressive, but that's what I'm after. My wife says it looks less like I'm having a midlife crisis without the wing. My question is does anyone know how much the spoiler was contributing to downforce and at what speeds. I'm not looking to campaign it as a racer and don't plan to test the claimed top speed. It felt fine accelerating to about 130 and then backing quickly off but I haven't pushed past that. You guys (and gals) have proven to have a wealth of knowledge about the Hellcat so I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Removing the wing involved 4 nuts and some double sided tape that needed to be removed, otherwise it came off easily.

I would leave it on. It is functional and not there for giggles and grins.

To each his own. Doubt you'll ever notice a difference, if you don't drive over 130mph anyway.

That's correct 120 to 130 mph in tight corners on a race track, Looks better with it but has no to little effect at slower speeds.

The Hellcat on the fenders and buldge in the center of the hood do a lot more to give it away than the spoiler, IMHO. Oh, and the wheels. The spoiler is probably 4th on the list to me as far as flying under the radar.

I agree, though, you're probably not going fast enough majority of the time for the spoiler to actually work anyway.

I agree with everyone,, leave the spoiler on,, that the hellcat of the fenders and change the wheels... Everywhere I go I get asked if that's a hellcat,,I changed my wheels, and took my badges off,, so people don't think it's a hellcat..

The spoiler creates a small amount of downforce and only at extremely high speeds. You MIGHT notice that it's gone if you're doing a long off camber sweeper at over 130MPH driving at 10/10ths. The main purpose of the modest spoiler on the back of the Hellcat is to look cool. Don't let anyone tell you it makes a functional difference below 100MPH because it most certainly doesn't.

remove it if you want, but I would remove the Hellcat Badges if you want to try to go under the radar. Don't forget that mean exhaust sound tho, it might draw attention, lol.

Why would you not want everyone to know it's a Hellcat? Geezz

If you want to fly under the radar I would recommend a plane Jane Charger. SRT did such a AWESOME job on both Hellcats that they look bad ass from every angle. I do not think removing the wing is going to hide the boldness the car speaks.

I don't understand why folks want to go under the radar with these cars? You buy one of the baddest cars around, and you don't want to let people know what you got? I'd shout it from the mountains tops everyday if I could! I'd have a caravan of giant billboards driving behind me, trumpets and heralds in front and a squadron of jets and helos overhead proclaiming my arrival!! The engine at WOT usually handles all that for me though.

Does anyone else's hood seem to dance a bit in the wind at 150 plus?

Devils advocate here...but why did you buy it in the first place? Seems like an SXT would suite your needs. Just asking/saying...
