Welp this past weekend my car was smoking pretty bad during a cold start, and then P0307 error code popped up, so I turned it into the local dealership where I purchased my $79k Hellcat from @ Gwinnett CDJR in Stone Mountain. They suspect possible major engine issues and the car has less than 5k miles.

Already bummed about my car being out of service so soon. But what really surprised me is the run around between Chrysler and the dealership gave me when it came to them providing me a courtesy rental vehicle while the repair work is being done. Dealership said to call Chrysler to approve the rental, they'd give me one no problem. Then Chrysler tells me the dealership needs to approve the rental, which was denied. "We don't do this".

Really didn't expect such a big hassle about a rental or even a loaner vehicle. When I bought my Dodge Magnum @ Bill Butler Warner Robins they gave me a loaner no complications at all.

Anyone @ Chrysler SRT who can this happen? I'm hoping to salvage my relationship between Dodge/Chrysler & my dealership...:(

Thought the loaner was part of the warranty when we bought this car. This is getting stupid. If my $80K is out of commission because of an engine issue, they need to provide some means of transportation.

This is funny to see this. I just got off the phone with my dealer service department. I tried to make an apt for my 2015 wrangler hardrock for the seam that is seperating in
leather seat. I was told i can't get a Saturday apt for warranty work and I would need to pay for a loaner.
Really a 50k jeep and 65k hellcat bought within a year and I'm treated like this.

surprised they give out loaners from ford, you'd just be back asking for another loaner when that one breaks down too

That's the number I called, and was routed to a SRT specialist who told me it wouldnt be a problem, but first reached out to the dealership for 'approval'. Chrysler states the approval was denied, aka "we dont do that". Frustrating.

Go back to SRT, put it on them to resolve. Hellcats get one its not optional its part of warranty. They don't have to rent from dealers inventory.

Yeah, I would demand an explanation.
Tell them the car is still under warranty of course, and why wouldn't a rental be available for you?? Tell them that's not acceptable AT ALL.
Good luck with the rental and your Hellcat!

Yes do not accept this. I'm not. Usually I'm laid back but this is not close to being ok.

When my wife takes in her Mercedes for an oil change the first thing they ask if she would like a coffee and how.all via a drive through climate control ed garage. 3 min later they have a new equivalent model ready and coffee in the cup holder.

I've never had a problem getting a rental with any srt vehicle. Yes it is part of the warranty. They didn't even have to call Chrysler.
