Pulled into the strip last night with about 425 miles or so on the ODO.

Our tracks idea of prep is about 10 seconds of spraying with a weed killer bottle about 10 feet out down the lines and 0 dragging.

Went straight in for a hotlap off the street and to knock the cobwebs off. 12.55@122.

Let her cool in between each run for a few just a bit and tried to follow behind the slick cars dropped tires after the first run to about 20psi.

Still sliding all the way through first but ended up whittling her down to a 11.83@124.9. Was pretty happy with that, at a decent prepped track i think she has some .3's or so in it. I threw in 2 gallons of e85 to 9.5 93 to keep the knock sensors as happy as they could be.

Little pick from the track last night, my buddy Shaun Foist (some of the younger croud may recognize him) brought his 14 GT500 out for the first time to play as well. He knocked down some 11.5s. Not too bad for 20" drs on a manual car for the first outing.

Looks like you had a lot of fun and about the same as what I ran my first time out bone stock down to the tires. I tried leaving in 2nd but still had to baby it to a 11.8@123. What do you have planned for the car?

Up front should be as tight as possible to allow the least rolling resistance.

Was this with the three season (summer) tires or the all season tires?

BeefCake.....Haven't been over to SVTPerformance for a while. Very nice write up they did on you. Also, one heck of a fast pass you put down.......look forward to see where you go with that car as well as the Cat.

In case others haven't heard of Terry.....he's been around the racing scene and is very accomplished. Here's an article on his latest accomplishment with a Mustang:

    has pzeros on it

will be doing some racestars soon to get some traction

    thanks man, appreciate it.

car was down for 1.5 years almost, was killing me at the chassis shop

i was really pleased to come out of the gates with a 7. Were getting the outlaw front bumper on, and tightening up the converter. i think we'll go 7.6s at the next race, and then we'll be adding the lightweight door panels and lexan. should get us to 7.5s.. if god loves me a 7.4 lol.

then...we throw the bigger Xi trim on :)

On the hellcat, so far very happy with the car.

Being a metco, dss, and racestar dealer, those will be our first gotos. Lund doesn't do any tuning on the mopar side. so i'm really undecided what to do on the tuning side of things. still doing some research there.

i think a 17 or 18" drag radial even at my local track will get some 11.3's at least out of her. then a tune and pulley, and maybe a fore e85 conversion.....

sounds like your in the ballpark, good first time out. My first time best with my A8 was 11.6 with street tires, started in second, eased out and nailed it. I think I had about 20 psi and a 2k rpm. Just did my first with 18" Dr's this weekend and my best was 11.115 at 18psi MT street II's. Humidity was pretty high so hoping to get to the 10's soon.
