Someone please explain how you justify asking $15,000 to $20,000 over sticker price for a 2016 Shelby 350 with only 540 hp and there building 5000 of them. Hellcat glad we've got our Challenger and Charger.

Supply and demand.....dodge dealers did it last year, and some west coast dealers are still trying it....

Also i thought i read the GT350 is capped at 5k for total production. The Hellcat has no production cap. That though was part of the initial and huge ADM that the Hellcat had. One journalist wrote that they were only making 1200 Hellcats for 2015, and lots of other people took that as true, and dealers instantly starting saying and promoting and profiting off that misinformation. Dealers will do what they do, if someone is willing to pay, so be it.

hellcat1 nailed it. It's the rules of "supply vs demand" same as the Hellcats.

Some people love the Hellcats and "don't get" the GT350 and some love the GT350 and have zero
interest in the Hellcats. Regardless, the supply of both cars is finite and if you "want to play, you'll have
    to pay".

I DIG both cars. If and when I find the right GT350 at a price that I can stomach, I'll be a proud new owner :D
both cars are great for me!

Oh yeah....as for the GT350....I may pay a little above sticker but not 5k+ above sticker.

I agree, im looking for a gt350 myself, but I wont be paying over msrp. Although when I do find the gt350, I may have a hard time parting with kermit!

Yeah there are local dealers here in AK still asking $10000-$20000 over MSRP. if you look on cars.com there are A LOT of used hellcats in OH for sell. Thought about getting an A8 also, I saw a new one under MSRP.

I have a guy in my squadron that a very small dealership that had an allocation for one, and he negotiated the deal at MSRP and he put his money down. They just started building it, he has the VIN and should be done by the end of February. I'm not sure if they can mark it up after the car arrives. Our local dealer here got 2 allocations they sold the first one at 15K over MSRP. The second one they are gonna have a floor auction starting at 10K over MSRP. Crooks in my opinion.

We bought both the Challenger and Charger @ MSRP. No games just honest dealings. We also own other muscle cars including a '96 Schinoda Mustang GT. Also own a '69 Camaro SS so bought the wife a 2010 SS to go with her Hugger Orange and we both were glad to get rid of it. We'll find a Shelby from a good dealer.

For a second play toy, you are better off with a used ZL1 than a GT350....way cheaper and easy to find..... but thats none of my business. ;);)
