Washing the car today I discovered a rock ding in my black satin vinyl hood covering. I can clearly see white paint. Any suggestions for a easy fix, or should I take back to the experts where it was installed?

    Thanks for any help

The only way to fix it is to buy a new Hellcat.

I thought the black hood option was painted over your regular colored hood? If so the only fix is matte touchup OR a repaint. If it's vinyl the only way to fix it is to re-wrap the hood.

The suggestion is, after you get it fixed. Clear bra it to protect it. Vinyl shouldn't have chipped like that though, so it's most likely paint.

vinyl app cannot be corrected without replacement--if it's a Satin Aluminum hood it would only be touched up or totally repainted... 2 totally different things..

It is Avery vinyl on my Bright White Charger hood.
It isn't overly large, but I wonder if it would make it easier to expand in size. Is there a fix to stop expansion?

I was considering coloring with a black sharpie (something similar).
