Having stretched the limits of a few track owners and tech guys this past year I have done the un thinkable and have a custom 6 pt roll bar designed and being built for Linda's Charger for Christmas while the guys at HHP will be doing the 8pt cage for my car, why the difference? Because Linda will be doing most of her racing in the 10.5 index/brackets and can stretch the Chargers legs at private track rentals, my cat is going into the 8's and will be very noticeable at every track as we start to test in late Jan/early Feb of 2016. The 6 pt roll bar is good for 10.00 and the 8 pt cage good for 8.50, so how many of the guys that recently upped the HP to run 9's are getting done?

Nope, we have IRS challengers running 8's for the past two years so the cat should be no different, if my car had it's nitrous working the last outing we should have been 9.2, I didn't like ending the season on that ,;)

The progress you and Linda have been making on the Cat is amazing!!! Congrats to the two of you and thanks for the update posts ;) I've really got the racing bug back since I sold my Top Dragster program a couple years back. That's why I am trying to rally a rule change for the bar to 10.50 ET. I've had street cars in the past that I had to put a bar into and took the enjoyment out of the street driving (getting in and out and no back seat for passengers). Did the street legals thing this year without any hassles and tried to race a bracket event once but got kicked out right after first time trial but it kind of gets boring for me without the thrill of competition. :)

Rob @ RPM has done a few roll bars for me in the past and is doing a custom one for Linda's Charger.
HHP is doing the custom cage for mine which I think has shipped and will be installed after Christmas.

Really cool TC... I don't plan on doing anymore than 10's... But I really enjoy the heck out of watching what you're doing with your cars and appreciate you sharing the info. Are you doing all this on the stock short block? ;)

Engine is stock internally never opened up, pulley and injectors and a great tuning team, the Hemi community learned very early that the tune is critical for engine survival.

1000, are you using E85? Look at the duty cycle you may have other issues.

Yes E-85 , my tuner said it was cutting it close on duty cycle closer to 80-90% . He's doing some more checking but mentioned getting 1300 cc . I've got heads and cam with pulleys as well so not sure if that's what threw everything way off

I know but that is the same number that Hotchkiss gave and it includes removing the interior and putting it back and ensuring a custom fir that is supposed to look as if it was made that way from the factory. It was sticker shock to me too
