In defense of Dodge it took me 3 tries and 3 formulas to get an acceptable finish. Mass production I'd hate to deal with it for 895$.

I used a base coat clear coat system, BASF products, added a flattening agent to the clear coat. I have sprayed flat/satin clear for years but only on wheels and bumpers. I used a new product after failing twice with an older formula I had been using for years. It's not rocket science at all but you need a perfect or acceptable to you finished, out of the gun outcome, zero room for after dry buffing etc. My first 2 attempts where with like I said an older formula and I was a bit cocky and it bit me in the but.

Looks fantastic! Too bad you live in CT, I may need someone to paint my hood whenever I get my car one of these days of eternity.

It looks like it may not really have a matte finish a little to shiny.

Yes, just a tad bit too shiny for me too , but it does look really nice and if you like it that's all that matters.... Did you paint both sides?

I thought there would have been more people painting them and less with the Wraps. Must be a reason.
I would have to see it in person for a comment but I bet it looks good

I like it a lot! I am not a huge fan of the black hoods, or the sublime color, but I love the combination of the two ... especially with the roof and trunk blacked out also, with some striping on the sides. That is bad azz!

Both sides painted, new hood, original is packed away in a box.

As for sheen, I matched the sheen on the spoiler and tweaked the formula a bit, the more sheen the less potential issues. Pictures give it a bit or a shine as well.
