So some of you may have seen that I had some frustrating in getting a Hellcat and ended up getting a good deal on a 2015 Charger Scat Pack which was pretty much fully loaded. I've had 570 fun and enjoyable miles in this car so far and I've loved every minute of it.

There are a few things I'm working on, such as the SRT adaptive suspension retrofit (all parts from a wrecked 2015 SRT 392) and I wasn't a big fan of the stock wheels. Since I had my eye on a Hellcat, I had grown to like that look versus the Scat Pack. In addition the Scat Pack's Goodyear RS-A's were not up to the challenge of putting the power down.

So I ordered a set of 2015 Hellcat OEM Forged black wheels and a new set of Continental ExtremeContact DW's in 275/40/20. I had been in Memphis this entire week where I saw a Challenger Hellcat for the first time by the Sheraton hotel on Main Street on Tuesday evening if I remember right. Anyhow, I woke up this morning at 3 AM Central and travelled all day to get home to Sacramento. I got to my work at about 3:45 PM to pick up my wheels and then proceeded to my house to pick up the tires I had ordered from Tire Rack. I then headed to America's Tire nearly my house in Elk Grove, CA where they do fantastic work. I had them mount and road force balance all of the wheel/tire assemblies. Came out with super low road force numbers and I'm happy to report I have zero vibrations or wobbles coming from the new wheel package.

Looks better, handles better and is even quieter than before. Loving it! Hope you guys do as well.

Thanks. I did have some dry rub ribs and pulled pork while I was there. Also went to Gus's Fried Chicken on Front Street for the first time. Drank at the Flying Saucer too, but spent most of my time at the convention center. I normally like to make it by Texas De Brazil while I'm there. No Rendezvous since I wasn't that impressed. I wanted to go to Central BBQ but didn't get time. Everything was catered for the most part. I always find the food in Memphis is pretty good.

Just out of curiosity how much did you have to pay for the OEM Hellcat wheels?

Car looks sharp. The wheels really give it a much meaner more aggressive look. I like the Hellcat wheels a lot. I just wish they were a bit wider with some larger rubber (even a staggered setup).

How is the programming going to work on the adaptive suspension. I would think the options are VIN dependent but I don't really know. Are you swapping in the PCM from the SRT392 or what? I'd be interested in the details of the swap as you progress. I love "factory upgrades"!!

Wheels were used, low mile takeoffs with a few minor blems.

For the Hellcat, the more rubber the better. With the 392, these tires helped a lot with traction. Going from 245 to 275 plus much stickier tires made a huge difference. I'm quite pleased.

Not sure at this time. I need to work on it further to determine if the Star tool can enable it. My plan is to wire up the Active Damper Control Module (+/-, CANBUS-C+, CANBUS-C-) and see what happens. I can do that very easily. I am also working with another tech to compare differences in the programming between a Scat Pack and SRT392. I am quite sure the PCM's are the same, so it's most likely a setting in the Body Control Module. If I can get the car to talk to the module, then I will proceed with rebuilding the harness for the two from sensors, rear sensor and the four shock absorbers. It's a 26 wire system.
