    Hey All,

I just bought a new scissor lift and I'm running into a novice problem. Where should my lifting points be?

I know where the jacking points are but have never used a lift like this and don't know where to put my hockey pucks :)

Here's a pic of the lift

Here is a pic by the back wheel. Can I just lift the car on that rubber knob sticking out? (Drive the car forward a bit first)

Here's a pick by the front wheel. You can see the cutout for the jack. (Yep. My car is filthy.)

As always, thanks for the help.

Ok. So I think I answered my own question. If anyone sees this and I'm doing something g wrong please let me know.

For the back of the car I just left it the way it is and let that rubber knob support all of the back end weight on each side.

Then for the front I just used some large rubber blocks and put them as close to the outside edge of the car as I could. (On the inside edge)

    I don't think I did any damage :)

You got it. The protruding black things are lift points in the back. On the front use some blocks of your own to either the subframe (preferred if your scissor lift makes it that far over) or the pinch weld area of the rocker (there is a little cutout there). I'd go with the subframe if possible but either will work.

Enjoy the lift... Makes life easy!

Scisoor lift is in my next purchase. Feel free to add your more input so it could help some of us :)

Is there enough space in the middle to make any changes? such as I want to change Drive shaft etc...

After just a few hours of playing around I'm in love with the lift. I can park right over it so it's not in the way and in just a couple of mins I can have the car up in the air.

Here's a quick video. Plenty of room to do almost anything under the car.

Thanks a lot man. Looks like I got x-mas gift for me later this year.

Also, I was checking ATLAS website demo, they show that those ramp come up and can be used too.

    Yeah it's sweet :)

The only downside I see is that there isn't a ton of clearance with the hellcat. I might lower it in the future and I'll have to put a couple of 2x12's by each ramp so the wheels can rest on them and keep the car high enough. This is already a problem with my Porsche. Since it's about 4" to the ground once it drops off the ramps the whole body will sit on the lift. Nothing a few pieces of wood can't fix :)

Looks like this will be the lift for me also!!

I like the fact that unlike other scissor lifts where the midsection of the car is partially hidden by cross braces, this one gives you full access. Kinda like the 'Quick Lift' that is also in consideration but at least with this one, as mentioned I can leave it in place and just drive over it and I don't have to position two units each time I want to use the lift. And I do agree with placing 2x12s rearward & forward.

Thanks for the tip LeoneaJ33. ;)
