How long due you plan to leave oil in? I'll be interested in fuel dilution at 2K and 3K. And oil at that time maybe run tbn and tan at the end of your use.

Is this the same oil tested twice but at different mileage?

First oil CHANGE at 500 (analysis in file posted above)

Second oil CHANGE at 1537 (1037 miles on oil with analysis posted above)

Next change will probably be when the odo hits 3K. I'm extended each change out a bit until I get to my 'normal' oil change interval which is yet to be decided for me. Somewhere at 5K or less most likely. I'll run a TBN when I get to a change with more miles on it. TBN at 1037 miles isn't going to be very interesting.

Looks pretty darn good to me!

At what point do you capture your sample of oil to send in? I would assume as soon as the plug comes out?

I usually let the oil drain for about 20 seconds or so and then grab the sample by putting the sample bottle into the stream.

They recommend letting some oil drain before grabbing the sample.

Got my first change at the dealership - 700 miles.
I retained the original OEM filter. What's the best way to take it apart or where should it be hack sawed?

Cut it at the base right above the ridge. I cut both of mine I'll grab a pic tomorrow if I think of it. You basically want to cut all the way around like you are cutting a pipe but don't cut through your you will go through the filter element.

Hacksaw, sawzall, grinder, whatever you have is fine.

I should be changing my Amsoil with analysis in a few weeks. I did the first change at 780.. I just took Her on a 1100 mile trip. I want to get some local miles before I change the Amsoil out. I will try to post the results. Not tech savvy.o_Oo_O

Thanks for posting! I'm doing my first oil change and sending to Blackstone as well.

Interested in hearing the optimal oil change interval. I'll most likely shoot for 4k to 5k miles

Regular analysis will help you determine what the optimal interval is for your engine, the oil you use, how you drive etc... Eventually I'll probably be at around the 4 or 5K range myself. I don't have any desire to go longer.

Please post up your results when you get them back. I'd love to compare my engine to others here.

    Sure thing!

I'm positive my numbers will be elevated as I didn't do the 500 mile break in and I am in boost every chance I get....lol
