The center of the intrusment cluster will turn red at the set shift point.

if you have manual i recommend buying a specific shift light...i bought one for my gt500 from Raptor(i think)...its mounted right in front of my face...so bright you cant miss it....your eyes should be on the road, not down at your dash board....

Oh ya....if auto trans, you have to have trans lever physically in manual/sport mode. Btw, the car was way to quick for me on the 1-2 shift. It would be at redline before my brain could tap the paddle!!

if your trying to use the shift light for a automatic i wouldnt bother....guys who are getting 10.8's or lower are letting the car shift itself....dont try to be better than the car already is

if its a manual it sure is nice to have that Raptor flash light shining right in your face....with my gt500 it has a couple of seconds it will allow 7,000 rpm's.......i set mine for 6,800 and its perfect...no way to miss it...if your going to be drag racing your car i think its a perfect setup...the one in the dash i dont think ive ever even noticed....gt500 also has a buzzer(which you cant hear over the exhaust)....

With the people getting 10.8s and anything under 11.5 dont they need a roll cage in the car? Thats what i was told at my local track. If im under 11.5 i need a roll bar/cage. I will not be chopping my car up so 11.5 it is. Im only running 12.3/12.4s now but wont go under 11.5 if i have to cage it.

I had trouble setting this up also......it is under the SRT button and set the shift light RPS you want....then hit set........then you have to hit the soft button in the upper screen to go back to the main SRT page showing the drivetrain and you should be good (I always missed that step)....... hope this helps

What I read was if you break into the 9's you need a roll cage, 10's should be ok

NHRA relxed the rules for new cars a couple years ago. NHRA realized that new cars are packing so much power and what was considered fast years ago is now being produced from the factory! Their outlook is if it's ok to drive on the street like this it is ok to drive in a controlled environment.

As to where the actually require a cage no I am not sure but I know it's not the same as say a '90 fox body Mustang.

Thats at GLD though... They really couldnt care any less about safety equipment. 10.49 and faster is the cut off there for a cage on newer cars.

Track owners rules are final no matter what NHRA says
