My cat has a single clamp on the top end hose and is a pretty recent build (late April) should it have two? I thought there was some sort of recall a while back to add an additional clamp. Just wondering.

Our Challenger was just delivered and also has two clamps on radiator sine, one on water pump end.

My HC Charger, Build: May 18, Charger: #484, has the nice new factory installed worm clamp at the low end with the factory clamp. Just factory clamp up top. My parts guy was able to order two of the nice worms (without having to purchase whole hose assembly) and I will install one at the top end this week. Some said avoid this due to unknown pressure levels. Can't speak to that but I think there has been a slight slip in the position of the hose up top since I got her (3,000 miles now). Would rather deal with this known risk then the unknown.

This was a TSB which in my world isn't a recall so it won't show. Is that correct fnkychkn for Dodge that no TSB shows a recall?

I've noticed a slight slip too - just a few millimeters - on the water pump end. The flange seems to flare a bit, and this may prevent further slippage. I'll be checking of course.

The important part is that the single clamp is a worm drive clamp on the upper radiator hose. Initially had a spring clamp and wasn't holding.

So if the top end of the hose has one and the bottom end has two we are good, right? I'm seeing two on the lower part but not the top end. Just a single clip style one on top and the same on the lower with another worm style clamp on the lower end of the hose.

I'm adding one at the top part of the radiator hose beside the factory clip. Both ends of hose will then be identical. Insurance. Another Forum member did it as well (posted a pic) and I think it's a good idea.
