So, we have remote start. We have an app, and a web interface to our car. Who's figured out how to start their car or pop the trunk by voice command from an iPhone?

Uconnect has a app that can remote Start and lock/unlock your car. It comes free with the car but Chrysler discontinued after a certain amount of time. Siri won't start it lol

Yep... got the app. But have you guys found you need to go thru the process of logging into it each time, then hitting start, then typing a security code, then waiting 90 seconds for the server to acknowledge and start the car? I guess I was hoping for something with near-keyfob speed and simplicity, but works from more than 100 feet away.

Not sure why they make us log in every time, when we can just lock the whole phone and have access controlled by a fingerprint.

I do wish it was faster. But it is still nice to have. Nice for when at the mall and it's a bit chilly or if you don't remember if you locked it or not.

I downloaded the uconnect app but remote start doesn't work well for me. My car is in a metal barn about 40 to 50 foot from house and key fob wouldn't start from in house to warm up thought app would but it doesn't either, works if outside of it so I guess metal causes interference

Unfortunately there is no way around that. Imagine being in a parking garage and you can't get a signal, that stinks. (Been there)

My only regret about the standard transmission is just that. I can't remote start the car. Oh well, if that's my only problem, I'm doing very well!

I use the remote only if it's over 140 degrees in the car to cool it down, that's everyday for 8 months in SC other then that i too push the button.
