My buddy came with me and my dad last weekend with his 2015 m6 hellcat for the last event of the year...he made a couple passes and on the last one he smoked the s### out of his clutch...will upgrading to a triple disc void his warranty?

I'd take it in for warranty repair and then replace it that way u have the (even tho inadequate) spare part just in case. Depending on what warranty work would be done they may not even notice or care

They will replace it once under warranty.. I wouldn't throw a triple disc in a daily driver. The m6 is a viper trans and you should be able to find quality 2 disc that will hold 1000hp or so from companies versed in vipers while still retaining drivability. Baby that 2nd factory one and save up for the replacement cause it's gonna come with new pressure plate and new valves. Not just gonna throw a new disc in and roll out. I would guess $3500 in parts for a good kit. I'd expect pedal effort to slightly increase but not too much.

    I want to add...

Some of you might have had 3-4-5 disc setups in past cars that were street able. But those cars didn't weight 4600 lbs.. Trust me when I tell you even just a triple in the cat isn't gonna be fun to drive to work on Monday.. I had a 2500 Cummings w a 4 disc a few years ago.. Even w the powerband of a diesel it was like driving a tank around town.

That shouldn't make a difference... They are dot approved street tires.. Far as they are concerned it should be no different then having some all season pep boys tires.. Myself... If take them off just to eliminate the chance of a fight with them over thoer own stupidity.. And as cuda pointed out.. It's not the dealers money.. They submit it back to fca warranty department and get paid for it.. So it's really a chance for them to make a couple $ as well..

Being a wear part it tech shouldn't be covered.. But from what I've seen this is a common known issue and fca is covering it one time just like they are the drive shafts..

1 year or 12k miles is all you get on a clutch.. and thanks to Uconnect FCA already knows the miles on your car.. i did not buy my car in my area... so i doubt my service dealer can pull strings.. they surely wont cover it themselves.

I really shouldn't be marketing until Serial Killer has us up and running but we are the Bad Boyzz

BBG HC Billet Twin @ 900 rwtrq
BBG HC Billet Triple @ 1300 rwtrq

I rate our competition clutch kits higher in Viper - reason is the weight difference with Hell Cat's Elephant status

Pictured is our BBG HC Billet Twin - Fully Serviceable (means "never discard", send back to BBG after a race season or two and we'll rebuild and make new again) and our Billet Viper/Hell Cat Competition HRB Hydraulic Kits

I'll start a new thread introducing our billet clutch kits when we're good to go.

    Thnx for your interest !

At BBG our priorities are quite simple:

: well thought out and engineered program
: bullet proof / highest level of performance
    : highest quality materials
    : precision machining
    : perfect fitment and setup
: easy pedal with maximum trq capacity
    : serviceable
    : correct application
    : customer service
: component we'd run In our personal SRT vehicles !!
