Left Ft Lauderdale yesterday headed home to Minneapolis. I got 1482 miles on now. 90% of it cruising at 74. Well I was just going 75 and was gonna pass some body and decided to hammer it (figured break in was complete) and I think it burned the tires at 75 mph?!?! Is that possible?? This thing is a beast!! Love it!!! Sounds so good when u get on it

I did 500 miles ( then will go 2500-3000) unless I race the crap out of it and run it hard then I may change it again. The interval is like 5000 miles

you can but there can also be lots of metal in the oil from initial break in. So I wanted to get it out of the system. There is a tech on the site who recommend the change at 500. So I did it. The dealer gave it to me for free. Next oil change will be me doing it at home.

I changed Dante's oil at 1000 miles. Won't hurt the car, and it made me feel better after seeing all the metal shavings in the oil that Dr Buick showed us (I found that very disturbing). Personal preference. :) mnext, I hope that you continue to have a fun and safe trip home! Please post pictures when you get settled after the trip.

change your oil when you get home

i dont think my tires have ever spun past 2nd gear...unless you have tc off i doubt it spun at 75mph.....not in warm weather

congrats on the long drive...ive done a 1350 mile drive to get a car, so i know a bit about how it is.....keep changing gears and break the engine in right

Yep, I hammered mine at about 40 and spun the tires. This was in street mode and TC on.
