So I backed my Charger Hellcat out of the garage to get detailed and this is what I see on the garage floor below...
Looks like something has been burning and dripping off somewhere between the back of the engine and beneath the gear selector. As I've been in the car every time its been out of the garage this is the first time I've seen this. Almost 2000 miles on the odometer. I remember a faint burning smell that I chalked up to "break-in stuff" the first week or so but haven't smelt it in a while. Car seems to run perfect. It's kinda just ashy, no smell or slickness like liquid. Any ideas? Should I be worried?

Pictures make it seem bigger, it's only a 1x2 ft area... IMG_0325.JPG IMG_0327.JPG

Normal soot from the exhaust is what it looks like to me.

There are a couple threads about this issue already. It's a mixture of water and soot dripping from the exhaust.

Got the same on my garage floor. Thats water drops dried, with exhaust carbon in it IMHO.
Condensation coming out vent hole in exhaust I believe.
You must let the car sit for a little bit in the garage as I do to warm up.
Oddly, only on left side for me & only appeared after 3 months or so.
I had it to dealer for safety inspection & got them to check exhaust for leaks & they said all was good

    That's very reassuring, thanks!
I was hoping it was something like that but didn't think the exhaust had places in the middle for things to leak out of.
My R/T Challenger never left any messes parked in the same place. Hellcat's must be harder to housetrain :)

Since I posted the thread noticed these on the garage door too. Funny what you never see when the car is always there to block your view! IMG_0328.JPG IMG_0329.JPG

...I sure hope you are not running the car in a closed garage...

Hehe, nope. I remote start it for at most a minute to let it warm a little before driving. Most of the soot on the door is probably from one time I revved it after pulling in.

It's not "leaky exhaust". It's drain holes designed into the mufflers to take off condensation & excess moisture. Perfectly normal.

It's your Cat marking its territory. Next thing you know, it'll be leaving black tire tracks all over town.

I only have 35 miles on mine and noticed today a weird burning smell when the engine got hot. I assume its just the burn off of the stuff on the exhaust from the factory...

What Redboots said. It's soot and water. Exhaust and condensation, that's it
Very normal. It is a non event.
