Even though it says it is off, it always defaults on, and the only way to turn it off is to turn it "on" then "off". Is there a software fix for this yet?

Nothing new posted, at least for my VIN. Ever since I had the amp flash done, been stuck with this f'in annoying speed adjusted volume pita, but at least all the speakers work now. Often have to turn it on then off 2 or 3 times before it stays off

Didnt have this issue until the reflash. Wonder if the 16's have this problem considering they shouldnt need the reflash

I have a 2016 and it does have the problem. I love the stereo and in my opinion, it sounds great, but I cannot shut off the speed adjusted volume. I have actually gotten used to it and now kind of like it.

It's a side effect of the latest flash, and unfortunately it has not been fixed yet. So now it's part of my start-up routine.

Wait for all systems to become active (hands-free, NAV, wait for red key notification to end)
Turn speed adjusted volume on then off again
Hit SRT button twice to activate my custom mode
    Put on seatbelt

Hey, now I get to drive!

My 2016 Charger came with this "feature". It is not horrible but it bugs me that something in my car is broken.

Funny thing is turning it off doesnt work. It's never off. As a matter of fact it works the opposite of how it should. The settings for it actually work backwards. Im surprised Dodge isnt getting bombarded with more complaints.

It's a pain in the ass for sure, but once the car is on, and you haven't moved yet... if you go turn the feature on then off again, it should remain off till you turn the car off again. Mine was very noticeable after the flash, then I read about this trick... tried it and no more issue. I do hate when I forget to do it though... I start pulling away and go "awwww shit".

Just brought home a 16 Hellcat Challenger yesterday and other than the radio volume randomly adjusting up and down, I love this car. I checked the speed adjusted volume control in audio settings and it showed to be off. Good to know it's not just me having this issue. So the temp fix is to start car, turn the speed adjusted volume on then off before moving the car ??

    Thanks, David

Mine is doing the same. Seems to change the volume at random times. I'll try this trick too once the weather allows me to take her out again. Thanks for the tip!

100% confirm that this is happening to my radio too. I called SRT, they want me to take it to a dealer so a tech can hear it and document it. I can prove it with a dB meter in the car. With the setting "Off" from a stop to 25-30 MPH the radio volume rises at least 10 dB.

I did the routine where you turn the Speed Adjusted Volume on and then turn it back off before moving the car for a couple times. Then after a couple days and forgetting to reset it, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's no longer doing the volume up and down thing.

I have a 15 and it did this before and after the update. I'm going to have to try this trick because its getting annoying.
